Unit 5 - Ancient China
Here is one of the few ancient civilizations that blossomed into an impressive medieval empire (which we study in 7th grade) and finally into a modern world power. 6th graders will study the early river villages of China, the unification of the Chinese people, the lessons we can learn from the mistakes of oppressive tyrants, Chinese art, and the Chinese value system called Confucianism.
